I think it’s the spirit of the students and the camaraderie of the faculty. It’s a family atmosphere
Are there any differences at LC since when you’ve started?
O yeah, there are a lot of differences. When I first came here, I came here in 1967 we had nuns here. There were hardly any lay teachers, there was another lay woman and I we were the first women who were here that were not nuns. A lot of the nuns that I worked with were my teachers.

They are both in secondary English education

What is your favorite book?
I used to read Gone With the Wind every year. My other favorite is Persuasion by Jane Austen. I love Jane Austen.
What is your favorite place to visit?
Cape May, New Jersey. I have a home there!
When did you decide that you wanted to teach?
I was in high school and I decided I wanted to teach. The only question was what subject I wanted to teach and I actually started out as a Chemistry Major. I only spent one semester as a Chemistry Major. I didn’t really care for it and I switched to English.
Have you taught at any other places?
I’ve taught in a lot of places. I’ve worked for Upper Perk High School, Perk Valley. I worked at North Penn and Norristown. I spent 25 years at Bucks County Community College at night and I’ve been to a lot of places.
Thank you for your time Mrs. Hildenbrand!
